RESISTANCE WELDING
A group of welding processes where joining of metal is accomplished by the heated produced from the resistance of the article to flow of electrical current in a circuit of which the article is a part. This occurs when pressure is directed at the electrodes where the electrical ciucuit is initiated and concluded.
Copper tungsten is processed for specific use as electrode materials for resistance welding and other similar related electrical contact wear applications.
Refractroy alloys are manufactured by the powder metallurgy techniques of pressing, sintering and infiltrating of tungsten iwth copper. Those alloys are produced under rigid manufacturing fixed processes resulting in a high degree of metallurgical uniformity held in the fine-grained micro-structure of the finished materials. Characteristics and features
The Copper tungsten material products are highly resistant to heat, electric arc, wear and deformation at high temperature welding, flash butt and spot welding. They also have excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. These metal composite materials produce dense hard metals with low thermal expansion, good thermal and electrical conductivity, excellent arc resistance, superior wear resistance and strength at elevated temperatures, which is a high performance welding electrode that will perform well under most severe applications.

Application
For Copper Tungsten Alloy of composition of 75%W25%Cu that can be applied in projection welding electrodes, flash and butt welding electrodes, light upsetting and seam welding bushings. It is harder than Class 10 and used where moderate pressure is required. This material can also be used for spot welding low conductivity steels, such as stainless, and the availability are Rod, Bar and Inserts.
For Copper Tungsten Alloy of composition of 80%W20%Cu, they can be used in Heavy duty projection welding electrodes, electro-forming and electroforging electrode facings for upsetting of studs and rivets, cross wire welding of large diameter wire and rod. Kefeng's Copper Tungsten alloys are used as electrode materials for resistance welding and similar related applications and the heavy duty contact, relays, switches, which the materials will withstand the effects of the arcing to the interruption of large currents.
