Product Description

As an ISO accredited tungsten plate products manufacturer, Kefeng Powder Metallurgy Co., is capable of offering various types of Tugnsten alloy products. Tungsten heavy alloy balance or counterweight meet a consistently high standard of flatness, roughness and machinability.  Additionally Kefeng is also able to offer a 15-30 days delivery and to cope with mass production of 3000kgs to 5000kgs.   Kefeng Powder Metallurgy, is a dedicated manufacturer of tungsten heavy alloy plate. We are now capable of machining tungsten heavy alloy plates with a range of thickness from 3 mm to 300mm or more. Tungsten heavy alloy plate contains tungsten content ranging from 90%-97% with small amounts of nickel, iron or copper elements. After the mixing, pressing and sintering process, Tungsten is alloyed with other metals beginning as a form of powders. 16.85-18.75g/cm3 density of tungsten heavy alloy is the most important industrial property.

Below is the counterweight block used on ships:
The selection of high density tungsten alloy for ballast weight is due to the high density of tungsten alloy products. Compared with other metals, the density of tungsten alloy materials is much higher than that of other metals, such as steel and lead materials. The counterweight blocks used on ships are used to provide resistance to lateral forces during navigation for sailboats, maintaining the stability of the ship with a larger weight. If the weight is not enough, the ship is prone to capsizing, especially in strong winds at sea, causing the ship to lose stability and fall into danger. When the cargo carried by the sailing vessel reaches a specific port, the cargo will be unloaded.
